Dîplomée de l'École des Beaux-Arts de Québec, Suzanne Lagacé a développé une démarche artistique personnelle, qui réunit à la fois innovation, fonction et esthétisme.

Elle réalise un rêve en installant son atelier à Austin dans les Cantons-de-l'Est en 1994.

Son travail a évolué vers la technique de galetage pour expérimenter des nouvelles formes en grès ou en porcelaine. A la cuisson au four à gaz, ses glaçures résultant de recherche et d'expérimentation, laissent une grande place au jeu des flammes qui donnent un aspect final à la pièce.

Une des ses œuvres a été sélectionnée pour l'exposition Arts2000, de l'Académie Royale des Arts du Canada à la Galerie Stratford en Ontario.

Graduated from the École des Beaux-Arts of Québec, Suzanne Lagacé has developed a personal path which combines innovation, functionality and aesthetic.

A dream comes true when she establishes her studio at Austin, in the Eastern Townships in 1994.

Her pottery work has evolved towards a technique called ‘'galetage'', in order to experiment new shapes in stoneware or porcelain. Gaz kiln firing allows her glazes, resulting from both research and experimentation, to benefit largely from the fire flames which will allow the piece of pottery to take its final aspect.

On of her piece has been selected for Arts2000, a national celebration of the visual arts produced by the Royal Canadian Academy of Arts, at the Gallery Stratford, Ontario.
