J'ai commencé à faire des couteaux chez un ami, coutelier depuis 20 ans et un autre ami maître coutelier renommé qui travaillait dans son atelier. J'ai eu le privilège de travailler avec eux et j'ai développé un style ‘'primitif'' avec une finition à l'état brut. Également, mon style distinctif est d'écraser le métal.

Pour mes lames, je travaille avec des limes, ressorts, métal d'outils, métal de bearing, qui sont des métaux de charbon ; ils rouillent mais ils se protègent facilement. Je forge au charbon, forme au marteau, lime, sable et polit à la main. C'est plus long mais plus précis. Je crois être le seul au monde à faire ce genre de pièces uniques.

Je suis membre de la Guilde des couteliers canadiens depuis 5 ans, et je participe à la grande foire de Toronto à tous les printemps.

I started making knifes at a friends' shop who had been making knives for 20 years. Also he had another friend who used his shop to make knives who is ‘'a MasterBlade Smith''. Overtime I was allowed to work in this shop and develop a style called ‘'primitive'' in the way the finish remains partly rough, not completely shiny. Also my trademark is crushing metals.

For my blades, I work with files, spring steels, tool steels, bearing steels which are all carbon steel which will rust if not cared for but very easy to protect.

I forge with coal, hammer out my shape then file it , sand it and polish it by hand, no grinders involved. It is a little longer that way but I can achieve more exacts results. I believe in making originals so owner can enjoy the knowledge of possessing the ‘'only'' one of its kind.

I am a member of the ‘' Canadian Knife Makers Guild'' since 5 years, and show knives every spring at the exhibition in Toronto.
