Born in Montreal, Mélanie-Alexandra Beauchamp spent her childhood in a rural environment, growing up in the Eastern Townships. Later, she returned to the city, completed her degree in Science and Visual Arts and finally settled in the Hatley Township, where she works as a graphic designer, illustrator and artist. She returned to her roots, to nature - her inspiration, her source of life.

Mélanie-Alexandra’s artistic practice used to be oriented only towards drawing and watercolor, alternating between realism and surrealism. Her studies pushed her to explore sculpture, which brought a more abstract and spontaneous character to her creations. Today, she uses the explored paths to take her artistic expression to another level, through drawing and painting.

When working on a creation, Mélanie-Alexandra tries to show what links us to nature as living beings. Nature and Man are one.
