Colette Allard-Lawlis is a self-taught painter, born in Malartic Quebec in 1941.

She started painting in 1986 and it was immediately evident that she had a remarquable affinity for lights and darks. She demonstrates immense versatility whether she be painting winter scenes or still life, and does so with great depth perception and realism.

Occasionally, she will produce paintings which border on her fantasies. She is totally at ease with the use of oils, acrylic and watercolor.

She has participated in many art exhinitions, both solo and group. She has won numerous awards, and some of her work has been published.
