Suzanne Valiquette, a member of the Société Canadienne
de l'Aquarelle, was born in Charny, Québec. She received her first art
education at the age of seven when she studied drawing, outdoor sketching,
oil and pastels. Married in 1995, and a mother of five children, she had
abandoned her brushes until the early 80's.
Thereafter, and on a weekly basis for the following
years, she studied with Pierre Tougas and Jean-Paul Ladouceur. During
this period, she also attended different watercolour workshops with reknowned
artists in Canada and the United States.
Suzanne Valiquette shares her love of nature through
her paintings. From the Eastern Townships to the south seas, she interprets
nature's secrets, seascapes and life around the marinas in her paintings.
There is simplicity in her work, filled with energy that is transformed
into solid and luminous masses.
