ln 2007 the mosaic sculptor Gaetan D'Arcy and mixed media artist Josée Monast, began a collaboration that launched the D'Arcy Mosaic to the forefront in their field. ln 2009 they have inaugurated the art Gallery GJ and an adjacent museum

The gallery exhibits works in the mosaic medium. The original works exhibit personal Interpretation in combination with a contemporary technique manifested in an impressive artistic expression

ln the museum we find an astounding piece. The work, Aztek Calendar, took a year and a half to complete: it exemplifies the intrinsic qualities of both of these artists. It is a comprehensive study realized in a mosaic in high relief. The material is natural stone and measures approximately 6 feet in diameter. This work has aroused the interest of both amateurs & professionals in the field.

At the same time Gaetan, who is a professional sculptor, was awarded, by his peers, the Sculptura de l'Academie International des Beaux Arts de Québec, in recognition for his artistic excellence and his achievements.
