Native of Montreal, Pierre Gervais studied technical
design very early in life. He pursued his studied for more than thirty
years in a career that allowed him to precisely make lines and forms.
Having a passion for the beauty of stained glass,
he had an opportunity in 1991 to meet the experiences stained glass artist
Jean-Marie Arcand of St. Eustache who gave Pierre some remarkable advice
on the subtleties of stained glass techniques. Mr. Arcand teaches him
the use of personally made related tools.
At retirement in 1996, he builds his new home in
the Eastern Townships and at the same time, does research on different
works of master stained glass artist in Europe and America. He discovers
an extreme willingness to acquire the knowledge that only practice will
give.
In 1999, now residing in the Eastern Townships,
Pierre now devotes his time to his art and nature is a continuous source
of inspiration. His art is rich in colours and light, a beautiful expression
of harmony.
