What drives my approach is quite simple:
Stimulate feelings and outdo myself .

From the moment I touched a piece of hand-made felt I knew that I had to work with this amazing material. It was love at first touch!

Coming from a rich background of ancient traditions, felt has found its place in the world of contemporary art. Its fabrication is somewhat magical: take some animal fibre, add water and soap, agitate vigorously and you've got felt.

In my production I use a combination of merinos wool, which is renowned for its softness, and silk. By dyeing my own fibre I am able to obtain a large selection of colours and infinite possibilities.

Parallel to my work with textiles, I am a painter. Touched by the great beauty of Nature I try to pay tribute to this abundance through my creations . My urge to reflect, name and portray my surroundings is voiced in my interpretation of the native landscape and the people around me.

In the non-figurative and gestural universe, where spontaneity and emotion prevail, my hand is set free, guided by color itself. Invariably Nature remains my inspiration.

Exceptionally this year I have the pleasure of inviting you to enjoy my work in a magnificient site: The St-Matthew Centre. Build in 1854, the Church of St-Matthew is the oldest Anglican church built of fieldstone. Its stained-glass windows are of a very rare quality.

I look forward to meeting you there!
